I have had much success for 3 years with a 90 gallon Berlin-style reef tank, and am considering setting up a 30 gallon "extra-tall" seahorse/pipefish tank, probably with live rock, live sand, soft corals and a hang-on-the-back skimmer which I expect to run primarily at night (so as not to remove food).

My mojor concern is the best way to maintain a source of suitable food. Is live food essential? Are brine shrimp enough nutritionally? Are there other suitable sources?

I would greatly appreciate any advice on these questions, or directions to additional sources of information. Thank you.
